If you face problems in yuzu try vulkan or openGL and see which one is more stable. Some games work better in the other switch emulator so try that too.

Same issue as you, Found the fix. I had to open yuzu in steam desktop, then open speaker on the desktop bottom right menu. click applications and Yuzu is muted by default. I unchecked mute and booted back into steam deck game OS.
