Resale on the CDP's is fast. Frontstrap checkering is nice, but on the alloy frame, it is sensitive to large rings. Pro TLE II seems better choice if two tone and service melt and ambi is not required. With TLE you still have night sights, and front strap checkering. Pro Carry II is a Base model. I kept my Glocks as I like the platform but those damm 1911's keep calling me back. I have even switch from my IDPA gun a Glock 35 to a S&W 1911 9mm Pro, just to keep the platforms the same, 1911 style. I have a Pro CDP as well as an Ultra Raptor and Ill be darned if I feel the Ultra shoots better than the Pro. I am sure someone else would problably shoot the Pro better than the Ultra. But I liked the feel of the Springfield EMP 9mm much better than the Kimber Aegis 9mm. It fits my hand much better since I have a small hands. I chose the CDP for the following reasons. 1) Lighter (easier to carry) How so, they are both aluminum framed but just the slide is stainless on the Stainless UC-II! 2) Melt job (less chance of clothes snag) Not a concern and the cost difference is way to much just for a melt job.
