128 posts · Joined 2021. #1 · Sep 2, 2021. I recently purchased a 2009 Honda Shadow Aero 750. The specs say the fuel tank capacity is 3.7 gallons. The reserve is .87 gallons. That leaves 2.83 gallons available before you have to hit the reserve. My guess is you are actually leaking fuel somewhere. Even if you were running rich you wouldn't get 20 MPG. Put cardboard under your bike where ever you have it parked. See if anything is leaking.
