This game is based around Lucky shots and crits, swords being unable to crit makes them useless. Also being in melee range when almost every enemy can one shot you in later stages is just not worth it. Yeah they are pretty meh after act 1. Not being able to crit is rough and they are almost unusable on most bosses.Compared to that, Swords Out has nice damage, but builds stacks slower, can only build a certain amount of Enthusiast stacks even with full Blade Hearts per cast, requires Blade Hearts to be stacked back up for full effect.
