In my opinion this is the best and most unique of the many attractions in Wilmington, NC. I drove all the way from Richmond, Virginia to see it, after reading about it in the Richmond Times. I have seen no better reptile exhibit anywhere, and that includes our National Zoo in Washington. The Cape Fear Serpentarium had them beat in every way.

After soccer in Wilmington yesterday we went down to the historic waterfront and I took my son to the Cape Fear Serpentarium. Nice facility, great animals (if you like venomous snakes) all presented, at least in theory, from a scientific standpoint - much of it ruined for me by a big prominent display of "tinfoil hat" conspiracy theory garbage - "chemtrails" and the like.
