Leaf is a really good order, even without the familiar. Goodberry is a great order spell, you get a bonus focus point (which mostly matters later), and Diplomacy is always a good skill to have training in. For the familiar itself, the focus restoration and Spell Battery (once you are higher level) are both exceptional.
