Mar 17, 2024 · The National Cherry Blossom Festival isn't just a celebration of the blossoms—it's a four-week-long cultural festival held across the city. This year's Opening Ceremony takes place on March 23 and the 2023 calendar also includes Art in Bloom, the Blossom Kite Festival (March 30), Petalpalooza (April 6), the annual Parade (April 13) and Sakura Matsuri - Japanese Street Festival (April 13-14). Since then, it's grown to be one of the largest cherry blossom festivals in the US. The 2024 festival will be held on two weekends, April 13 - 14 and April 20 - 21. This celebration includes traditional music, dance, and other cultural activities. During the festival, you can sample a variety of Japanese and Japanese-American culinary treats.Mr. Blossomtime.
