Instead, the shopper completed my order in a matter of seconds, added multiples of most items, raising my order total by well over $150, texted me saying he'd been in an accident and then never delivered my order. Instacart customer service, as usual, has offered 0 help, other than saying "we'll have someone call you in a few minutes".

Instacart needs to get their act together, and pay more, without a doubt, but as long as the shopper has a choice, orders that "pay less" will continue to be ignored. I feel terrible for elderly people and at-risk people who must now risk their lives because they can't afford to tip 25% of the cost of their groceries.
