Was driving it home and it run fine. Until it shut down like you turned the key off. Coasted into the driveway. Tried to start it, and it acted like the starter was locked up. If you find a 383 SBC isn't durable enough for you, then it was built with crap parts. The 366 has a tiny bore of only 3.905", smaller than even a 350 small block, and almost as small as a 307 small block has; combined with a 3.75" stroke, same stroke length as a 383 or 499 SBC.
