Tractor. Ford 1215. I have measured with key on and off same readings each time. Battery is hooked correctly although im not positive prior owner did not hook it up incorrectly. I have an '86 JD 318. It is the "old style" Onan. I changed out the choke cable the other evening and after finishing, tried to start it. The choke works fine, but it acted like there was no spark. I bought a spark tester, the kind that allows you to hook it up to the plug wire and ground the other end. Was givin this John deere f525, was told it had no spark. Im starting to figure out why it was free. I have replaced coil,ignitor spark plug. All fuses are good.. All saftey switches are jumpered. Still no spark. Engine cranks fine. This is where it gets weird, I can pull all 4 fuses, and both relays and the darn thing will still crank.
