Farming them by themselves will take a while but the fastest way probably is to just do Survival, or Adventure and ignore the dungeon without a boss. If you have a friend willing to farm with you, you can get a handful from the fetid pools. I believe you need 2 keys (rusted amulet) to open the door with the glowing shards.
