Apparently this is common enough on the new 3.6 they set guidelines to follow when you get the code. Step 1 reset the code and send you on your way. Step 2 change oil filter and pressure sensor and send you on your way. Step 3 oil pump. I have replaced solenoid valve body ,installed new transmission cooler and replaced the PCM and my jeep still slams into 2cnd gear limp mode. Over $2000 and it still does the same thing. The lightning bolt symbol will come on and the fan will sound like a jet, and the temp gauge drops to completely cold. Then it'll go back to normal.
