Nitrous will get the job done but it would be easier and much cheaper (in the long run) to trade your 1300 for a 1800. A stock 1800 runs like a 1300 on nitrous and you only need to fill the gas tank instead of both a fuel tank and nitrous bottle on a 1300. Check into the price of nitrous oxide equipment and refills.

I've read that the only real way to get a wider rear MC tire on the 1300 is to do a Foot's Mod - which is replacing the 1300's wheel with that from an 1800C, which is 4.5" wide.
