Jul 19, 2023 · This is a pretty simple program to get enrolled in. The Beacon is part of the State Farm Drive Safe and Save program. To be enrolled, you will need to have a smartphone. Request the Beacon through your agent, and you'll be ready to get started once the Beacon is in your possession. Text the word "save" to 78836.
I drive 7000 miles or less so I get low mileage discount which is factor into the Drive safe & save savings. The app measures your miles also to make sure you're driving less than 7000 miles. If the second vehicle is grayed out a bit and cannot be selected that means that you are likely not the named insured on that specific vehicle and cannot complete setup/make changes. You'll either need to login as the named insured or have yourself added as a named insured. We contacted state farm they sent a new beacon out and it works just fine.
