Gmc acadia shudder when accelerating.

Just bought a 2012 GMC Acadia with117k on it. Mint condition cosmetically and seemed to drive fine until yesterday. It seems when I'm doing about 40 mph or 60 mph the RPMs drop between 1700 and 2100 and I get the shudder/buck. If I let off the gas or accelerate it powers through but when at steady speeds in traffic it gives those issues.If you shift it down a gear or go to accelerate where it downshifts it will go away. Having the same issue on my 2020 GMC Acadia. Dealer performed the bulletin that pertains to 2020 but didn't fix issue. Mine is a little different in that most of the times it occurs from 1200-2000 rpms. But can occur at highway speeds IF you are accelerating (gently IE: not jumping on it).
