Jan 22, 2014 · The SLIDE width between the G30 and the G30s is about an 1/8th of an inch thinner. The length difference is between Gen 3 and Gen 4 frames. The WIDTH between the Gen 3 and Gen 4 FRAMES are the same. The G30s slide is about the same WIDTH as the Glock 9mm/.40 cal models.

The quick and dirty is that the 30SF is a full sized 30 slide on the Short Frame (SF). The SF frame reduces the distance between the front & back straps to allow for more trigger reach on the G30.
