Road & Track History. Road & Track was founded by two friends, Wilfred H. Brehaut, Jr. and Joseph S. Fennessy in Hempstead, Long Island in 1947. In 1952 Editor John Bond took ownership of the magazine and ran it with his wife Elaine.
