I ordered the G12 coolant from Impex, and they informed me that VW has now changed their G12 coolant to a new chemical formula that is Purple and they went on to say that it is not a good idea to mix the purple and the pink G12. I am doing this change in my parking lot, as I don't have access to a garage, so I can't do a complete flush.

I bought this Peak coolant that says works for 2008+ VW models but nowhere (on the bottle or internet) does it state if it is G13. I don't think much will happen mixing this violet with the pink OEM coolant, but the resources I'm finding online are so mixed I figured coming to you guys is a safer bet.

G13 is a glycerin based coolant and has the silicat bag in the expansion bottle. G12++ is a glycol coolant. you should be able to mix them if you want, or if you replace your expansion bottle to remove the silicat bag, you can replace with G12 quite happily.
