For giggles, push on the back quarter panel around the fuel door, find a firm place on the panel to push on and get the car moving laterally. You should be able to get the car oscillating sideways. Most of movement should be from the side walls of the tires. You shouldn't hear or feel any looseness.

The front tires are one make, the rear tires anothe make. I agree that all tires should be the same, and conform to mfrs spec. But this clunking noise just started like a week ago, and it seems it occirs when the car has been driven for better than 15 minutes. It does not seem to occur when car is just started and going only a short distance.
