I should probably open the hood and have a look see next time. But spring is here and a real cold morning (like 40's F) may be months from now.

I equated it to Turbo related noise and did not pay too much attention. But yesterday evening during a rather spirited run, I started hearing a very high pitch whistling sound when I was pushing the engine between 1500 rpm to about 4000/5000 rpm range. The sound was very loud, enough to even be heard over the low volume radio being played.
